Customer Service Part 2

In part one I discussed the decision to eat healthier and that it is sometimes a leap of faith to try new products. The two products from the Lakanto corporation were both terrible. But that’s how it goes sometimes, you take a risk and you may win or lose.

I posted my reviews on the two products that were purchased via Amazon marketplace.

My reviews:

Drinking Chocolate:

I didn’t think anything could taste worse than the Lakanto Maple Flavored Sugar Free Syrup. I was mistaken. I looked forward to that cup of hot chocolate after being outside on a cold winter day. I heated up the milk, put in the Lakanto Drinking Chocolate, took one sip and thought “that was pretty foul.” Stirred it really well and took another sip, still pretty freaking foul tasting stuff. Poured it out into the sink and made a cup of tea.

Maple Flavored Syrup:

This is by far the worst tasting syrup I’ve ever tried. This manufactured tripe is more expensive than a bottle of real maple syrup. A few carbs and grams of a natural sweetener won’t make a difference in the grand scheme of things. Unless it has other uses like cleaning tires or getting rid of hard water stains, it’s a useless product.

My email to Lakanto:

I have purchased two products from Lakanto that I am not satisfied with. This was a comment that your customer support left on another review:

“Our No-Risk guarantee means that we promise to deliver 100% satisfaction every time.”

The two products that I have are the Lakanto Drinking Chocolate 10 ounce and Lakanto Maple Flavored Sugar-Free Syrup 13 ounce.

How do I return those two products for a refund?

Their response:

Great question!  All you have to do is message us directly via your Amazon Orders Portal (which you have already done), provide us with the information necessary for us to find your specific order, and then leave the rest to us.  We occasionally need the order ID as well…but in your case, we were able to locate the applicable order without any troubles.   As such, I have processed a full refund for your order.  If you haven’t seen it already, it should process within the next 3-5 business days.

Now that we have that taken care of, may I ask why you weren’t satisfied with your order?  Any feedback you can share would be appreciated as we are always looking to improve our products and offerings.

Seems to be a happy ending. A supplier standing behind their guarantee, how refreshing. I haven’t seen the refund yet, after that happens I’ll provide some feedback. Possibly change my reviews to include their refund and my gracious thanks. But for now, the check is in the mail…
